The Modern West
Yes, I know it’s a lot of the same kind of shot but I liked them all for different reasons. There’s no shortage of interesting design elements throughout my city to serve as backdrops, but never have my eyes been more open to truly seeing my city than they have been since I started looking for new places to shoot. San Francisco boasts such a unique juxtaposition of modern and historical. I’m currently reading Season of the Witch by David Talbot and I’d be lying if I said my current mood for dressing isn’t somewhat inspired by the colorful characters that have shaped our city for the past century. This look to me is mid-century Palm Springs western meets NorCal mixed metals meets a modern silhouette. Right around now is when I typically start planning my Outside Lands costume changes, and this would for sure be one of my OSL ‘fits if it were happening IRL this year…sigh. Going to keep getting dressed anyway!
Outfit details: Tyche romper (I’ve tried to find this little number for you but I bought it way too long ago from Siren); vintage belt; Sam Edelman booties; Amazon sunnies; random mixed jewelry from all over.
